AdventHealth has announced that Zachary Whitener, DNP, FNP-C, has joined AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology at Rome. He will work alongside other providers including Rachel Harris, MD, NPH, FACC; Charles F. Jackson III, MD; J. Christopher Merritt, MD, FACC; G. Hunter Myers, MD, FACC; Himanshu Patel, MD; Kipp Slicker, DO, FACC; G. Dustin Tanner, MD; and J. Michael Ware, MD, FACC.

Whitener completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia and earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice: Family Nurse Practitioner from Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia.

According to the announcement: “Whitener is committed to offering both traditional and holistic options to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients. With each interaction, he treats the whole person — body, mind and spirit.
