Visit St. Pete-Clearwater has launched a new incentive aimed at encouraging travelers to use their remaining paid time off (PTO) before the end of the year. The tourism organization is offering up to $250 in gift cards for visitors who book a stay through its official website and travel by the end of 2025.

The initiative responds to recent findings from the Society for Human Resource Management, which indicate that nearly half of U.S. employees are expected to leave vacation days unused this year. Visit St. Pete-Clearwater is positioning this trend as an opportunity for potential visitors.

Travelers who book accommodations directly via VisitSPC.com/PTO can receive $50 in gift cards for each vacation day used, with a maximum of five nights qualifying for the offer.

Steve Grimes, Chief Marketing Officer at Visit St. Pete-Clearwater, said: “Don’t let your PTO go to waste when there’s still time to take a beach break. Fall and early winter is the sweet spot here – perfect weather, lots of events, and now, we’re giving you a little extra spending money for that sunset meal or night out on the town.”

St. Pete-Clearwater promotes its warm climate during fall and winter months as well as its beaches and local attractions as reasons to visit while other parts of the country experience colder weather.

Visitors can also access additional discounts through the FunShine Savings Passport, which provides digital deals at more than 50 local venues including museums, restaurants, and shops.

Further information about booking and claiming incentives is available at VisitSPC.com/PTO.
