Patients in the Hinsdale, La Grange, and Woodridge areas will have increased access to advanced surgical care as UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Medical Group adds Isabelle Chu, MD, to its team.
Dr. Chu is board-certified in General Surgery and focuses on both minimally invasive and open surgical procedures for general and endocrine disorders. Her practice places particular emphasis on collaborative management of thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal diseases. She also treats conditions such as thyroid cancer, benign thyroid disease, hyperparathyroidism, adrenal gland tumors, gallbladder issues, and lipomas.
Her medical education includes a degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Chu completed her residency at Swedish Medical Center – First Hill and pursued a fellowship in Endocrine Surgery at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She holds memberships with the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. In 2024, she received the Resident Research Award at Swedish Medical Center.
