Saud Rana, MD, has joined the UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Medical Group Hematology/Oncology at 396 Remington Blvd., Suite 305 in Bolingbrook. Dr. Rana is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. His clinical interests include general medical oncology, targeted molecular therapy, myeloproliferative neoplasms, benign hematology, indolent leukemia/lymphoma, cancer screening, and hereditary cancer syndromes.
Dr. Rana earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center and a fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology at the University of Illinois-Chicago.
He describes his care philosophy as follows: “My approach is based on Arthur Kleinman’s Explanatory Model, in which understanding the patient’s perspective of their illness is central to creating a health care plan. I believe it is critical that patients and their health care provider share a common understanding and work together as a team.” Dr. Rana speaks English and Urdu/Hindi.
