Thrive Arts District in Fort Lauderdale announced on Mar. 24 that it has secured six new tenants and an expansion from an existing business. The district, known for its collection of galleries and artist studios housed in retrofitted warehouses, continues to attract a range of creative and wellness-focused enterprises.

The recent leases include Steamy Lit Bookstore, which took 2,100 square feet; Pottery Studio 1 with 1,200 square feet; and Dyer Design Glasswork occupying a 772-square-foot studio and gallery. C-Alma Wellness Lounge signed for a 1,700-square-foot space intended as a retreat for entrepreneurs and professionals seeking amenities such as cold plunges, sauna sessions, red light therapy, guided breathwork, and cold-pressed juices.

On the office side, Omnia Construction will relocate its headquarters to Thrive Arts District into a new 1,300-square-foot space from another location within Fort Lauderdale. National commercial real estate capital adviser goKaizen is also moving its headquarters to the district with a lease for the same amount of space after leaving a co-working facility downtown. Alma Matcha expanded its presence by adding another 1,300 square feet for a total footprint of 2,500 square feet at Thrive.

Developed by brothers Jonathan and Abraham Fish as what is considered the successor to FAT Village Arts District in Fort Lauderdale, Thrive continues to grow as both an arts hub and business destination.

Elsewhere in South Florida retail news: Warby Parker will soon open at Boynton Beach Marketplace on West Boynton Beach Boulevard; Boca Raton investor Yevgeniy Yermakov owns this Whole Foods-anchored shopping center following his $49.3 million purchase last year. In Coral Gables’ Shops at Merrick Park—owned by Brookfield Properties—luxury outdoor furniture retailer Belamo leased nearly 5,000 square feet according to their broker team.

Additional openings include Reforming Pilates’ upcoming RP Heat studio—a heated mat Pilates concept—in Fort Lauderdale’s Manor at Flagler Village apartment development owned by Cardone Capital; Chewy Vet Care clinic (3,200 sq ft) and Field of Greens restaurant (1,800 sq ft) are now open at Compson Place at Renaissance Commons in Boynton Beach with Sushi Sake set to join later this spring.
