Several real estate firms in South Florida have announced new hires and leadership changes as the summer ends.
Robert Rivani has promoted Marc Shandler to chief operating officer at Black Lion Investment Group. Shandler, who has served as chief legal officer for three years, will continue his legal duties while also overseeing operational and growth strategy. “Shandler has been the chief legal officer at Rivani’s Black Lion Investment Group for three years, according to LinkedIn. He will be retaining his legal responsibilities in addition to overseeing operational and growth strategy at Rivani, the release states.”
Eastham Capital, based in Boca Raton, appointed Anthony Librot as chief financial officer. Librot previously worked as chief accounting officer at Senné, a Boston real estate investment firm, and held executive roles at New England Dental Group and AAM15 Management. In his new position, he will oversee accounting, compliance, and risk management.
Waramaug Hospitality of Miami named Alex Ulnick vice president of acquisitions. Ulnick comes from Peregrine Hospitality in Denver, where he was also vice president of acquisitions. At Waramaug, he will lead sourcing, underwriting, and structuring for new hotel investments. The company currently manages 51 hotels with 6,490 keys across 14 states.
Native Realty in Fort Lauderdale added two brokers: Jeff Dysart and Connor Gordon. Dysart will work with developers and contractors on multifamily projects while Gordon specializes in industrial leasing and investment sales.
AnneMarie Alexander is moving from Corcoran Group to Douglas Elliman as a new development specialist working in both South Florida and New York. She has closed more than $1 billion in career sales over four years with Corcoran. “She will be based out of Elliman’s Biscayne Boulevard office.”
Oscar Arellano and his team are leaving Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty for Coldwell Banker Realty after nearly six years with BHHS EWM. Arellano previously spent 16 years at Fortune International Realty (now Fortune Christie’s International Real Estate). His team closed more than $100 million last year.
Serhant has added Greg Forest to its Palm Beach office from Sotheby’s International Realty. Forest has closed over $250 million in career sales including more than $60 million last year.
Related Ross brought Adam McPherson on board as senior vice president of residential sales in West Palm Beach. McPherson will focus on sales for the planned South Flagler House alongside Suzanne Frisbie’s Corcoran Group team.
Colliers hired Michael Nisenbaum as vice president specializing in land development and senior housing in Boca Raton; he was formerly with Belmont Senior Village Living.
