Several South Florida real estate firms announced on Mar. 18 a series of agent moves and new hires as the region enters its busiest season.
The changes come at a time when the local real estate market is highly active, with agents and teams seeking new opportunities to expand their reach and client base.
David Hunt Solomon has joined Coldwell Banker Realty after spending 14 years with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty. According to a news release, Solomon has closed more than $500 million in career sales and was responsible for brokering Lennar boss Stuart Miller’s $49.5 million sale of a waterfront Star Island home in 2020. His wife, Jacqueline Oliva, has also joined Coldwell Banker as an agent.
Douglas Elliman’s Hilda Jacobson moved to Compass, according to a news release. Jacobson began her real estate career in 2003 and focuses on Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Pinecrest, and Miami Beach markets. She closed $18 million in sales last year and had been with Elliman since 2014.
In Delray Beach, Premier Estate Properties hired Jerilyn Walter and Jaime Smith. Walter previously served as broker and owner of Posh Properties for the past 14 years, overseeing $1 billion in sales across Palm Beach and Broward counties.
Real Brokerage expanded its presence by bringing in the Sandra Rathe Team, which consists of 20 agents led by Sandra Rathe. The team records $135 million in annual sales volume. Rathe is based in Fort Lauderdale and spent nearly ten years at Keller Williams.
In the development sector, BGI Companies appointed Matthew Marks as vice president of development and construction. Marks will oversee projects including Alba Palm Beach condos planned for a recently acquired $40.9 million waterfront site. He joins BGI from Moss & Associates where he worked for nearly twelve years.
