A new wildlife attraction, Sloth World, is set to open on International Drive in Orlando in February 2026. Billed as the world’s first and only “Slotharium,” the facility will offer visitors a guided experience inside a rainforest-style habitat designed for sloths.
Unlike traditional animal attractions that use cages or glass barriers, Sloth World will allow guests to enter directly into the sloths’ environment. The 7,500-square-foot space will house more than 40 sloths from multiple species, including babies born onsite. According to organizers, the layout is intentionally calm and capacity will be limited to create a quiet atmosphere for both animals and visitors.
All tours at Sloth World will be ticketed and led by staff known as Sloth World Ambassadors—animal science professionals with expertise in sloth behavior. The tours are structured to prioritize animal welfare, with all interactions being hands-off and focused on education about conservation efforts.
“We want guests to feel like they’ve stepped into the sloths’ world—not the other way around,” said Pete Bandre, Vice President of Sloth World. “There are no cages or barriers—you step right into their environment. It’s peaceful, natural and unlike anything else. We want every visitor to walk out with a deeper understanding of how extraordinary these animals are, why their protection matters, and how simple actions can help support sloth populations around the world.”
Sloth World will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., including holidays. Tickets are priced at $49 each. Presales have begun and early tours are expected to sell out before opening.
The organization states that part of its revenue will go toward supporting sloth rescue and habitat protection projects in countries such as Guyana, Costa Rica, and Peru through partnerships with local initiatives.
