Pensacola adds rooftop venues and expands outdoor amenities

Pensacola has introduced its first rooftop venues, marking a new development in the city’s hospitality offerings. The city is also seeing changes in its dining scene and outdoor attractions.

The Bruce Beach project, located near downtown Pensacola, continues to reclaim and revitalize a historic African American swimming and recreation site. Phase 1 of the project opened in 2022, with Phase 2 completed on November 8, 2024.

A multi-use trail on Perdido Key was completed in 2024. This trail improves access for cyclists and pedestrians by connecting recreational areas, beach access points, and neighborhoods. The addition supports eco-friendly travel options and enhances safety for those not using vehicles.

Portside Pickle is scheduled to open in July 2025.
