Orlando begins 70 days of holiday celebrations across city attractions

Orlando is launching its holiday season this November with over 70 days of events and celebrations throughout the city. Festivities range from themed afternoon teas and light shows to special performances and seasonal attractions at major resorts and venues.

Casandra Matej, president and CEO of Visit Orlando, commented on the city’s ongoing popularity as a travel destination: “Orlando continues to rank among the top holiday travel destinations because we offer endless ways to make a holiday getaway unforgettable. Gifts come in many forms, but sharing a one-of-a-kind Orlando experience is something that stays with you. From snapping the perfect holiday selfie at our newest theme park to strolling through a glittering Asian Lantern Festival at the zoo, every corner of our destination offers meaningful ways to celebrate the season.”

The schedule includes signature events at Walt Disney World Resort such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park, Disney Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios, EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and festive additions at Animal Kingdom. Universal Orlando Resort will host Grinchmas, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Christmas celebration, and Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s.

SeaWorld Orlando will hold its annual Christmas Celebration with lights and live shows, while LEGOLAND Florida Resort brings back Holidays at LEGOLAND with themed décor and entertainment. Other highlights include the Asian Lantern Festival at Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, Festival of Trees at Orlando Museum of Art, Dazzling Nights at Harry P. Leu Gardens, concerts and performances at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Wekiva Island’s Winter Wonderland, Oh What Fun! Holiday Festival in Lake Nona Town Center, Main Street Holiday Stroll in Downtown Winter Garden, Ye Olde Hometown Christmas Parade in Winter Park, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition’s holiday displays, Holidays in Space drone show at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, ICE! featuring Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at Gaylord Palms Resort, Four Seasons Resort Orlando’s dining experiences and afternoon tea offerings, Grande Lakes’ ice skating activities and markets, Evermore Orlando Resort’s themed crafts and menus for December visitors, and The Nutcracker Holiday Tea hosted by ette hotel in partnership with Orlando Ballet.
