Orlando is set to introduce more than 26 new experiences in 2026, according to Visit Orlando. These additions will include attractions, rides, entertainment options, dining venues, sports teams, and retail stores across the city.
Casandra Matej, president and CEO of Visit Orlando, commented on the city’s ongoing development: “Orlando’s continuous growth is what sets us apart year after year, with new and diverse experiences across theme parks, dining, entertainment and shopping that cater to every kind of traveler. With the recent opening of the first entirely new theme park in 25 years, and a stellar lineup of openings for 2026, the destination has entered a new era of innovation, setting the stage for exciting experiences for years to come.”
Several major theme parks are planning significant updates. EPCOT will unveil updated animatronics in Frozen Ever After in February and debut a refreshed Soarin’ Across America ride during summer 2026. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will launch two new experiences in its Walt Disney Studios area: “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” and “The Magic of Disney Animation.” Additionally, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will offer an adventure based on “The Mandalorian and Grogu” starting May 22. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets will open later in summer with reimagined elements.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park will feature characters Bluey and Bingo at Conservation Station this summer. At Magic Kingdom Park, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin are scheduled to reopen after enhancements in spring.
At Disney Springs, Level 99 will replace the former NBA Experience with an interactive obstacle course aimed at adults.
Universal Orlando Resort is marking the 25th anniversary of the first Harry Potter film by hosting special events throughout The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Universal Epic Universe continues operation as Orlando’s newest theme park with over 50 attractions spread across five themed worlds.
SeaWorld Orlando plans to introduce SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep—a suspended family dark ride—and LEGOLAND Florida will open Galacticoaster on February 27 within its space-themed land.
Other notable debuts include Sloth World—the world’s first Slotharium—opening on International Drive in February; Society Park—a sports complex also on International Drive—set for April; Build-A-Bear Workshop launching its largest flagship store at ICON Park; Museum of Ice Cream arriving at Pointe Orlando; a Fraggle Rock live show at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex; various retail updates at The Florida Mall and The Mall at Millenia; Round1 Bowling and Arcade coming to The Florida Mall early next year; as well as new restaurant openings throughout different neighborhoods.
The United Football League recently announced Orlando Storm as its latest professional sports team. Their inaugural season games will be held at Inter&Co Stadium.
Additional entertainment offerings include Blue Man Group returning with performances at ICON Park beginning May 1; Capone’s Dinner & Show opening a larger location at Dezerland Park Orlando; new performances from Orlando Ballet scheduled for Steinmetz Hall; plus several hotels such as EVEN Hotel by IHG near Epic Universe slated for opening this year.
