Shaklee Corp. CEO Roger Barnett and his wife, journalist Sloan Barnett, have sold their waterfront mansion in Coconut Grove for $71.9 million. The sale represents a significant price increase from the $45.9 million they paid in 2021 when they bought the property from billionaire Jorge Mas.
The seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom home at 3085 Munroe Drive spans 10,400 square feet and sits on nearly an acre of land. The buyers are a trust managed by Greenberg Traurig attorney Benjamin Babcock and Mary McFadden Quisenberry, chief operating officer at Rosewood Family Advisors in San Francisco.
The Real Deal previously identified the Barnetts as owners when they acquired the home nearly five years ago. The house was built in 2015.
Roger Barnett leads Shaklee Corp., a company known for nutrition and green cleaning products, and also founded Beauty.com, one of the early online cosmetics retailers. He is part of the Wolfson family and son of Victor Barnett, former Burberry chairman. Sloan Barnett is a lawyer and journalist who has written books about nutrition and is the daughter of late billionaire George Lindemann.
In addition to this property, the Barnetts own another waterfront mansion at 46 Star Island Drive, purchased in 2021 for $38 million.
Coconut Grove has experienced an increase in high-value real estate transactions recently. Billionaire Ken Griffin paid nearly $107 million for a bayfront estate at 3031 and 3115 Brickell Avenue in 2022. Last month, Jorge Mas sold a nearby residential lot for over $100 million. Also in December, Banyan Ridge—a waterfront compound—sold for $101.5 million after being listed for $115 million; it was owned by the estate of Jonathan Lewis, a well-known Miami restaurateur and LGBT advocate.
