Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Marc Anthony has sold his downtown Miami condo at One Thousand Museum for $8.6 million, according to property records and the listing. Anthony, whose full name is Marco Antonio Muñiz, originally purchased the 8,400-square-foot townhouse unit in 2021 for $11 million, paying just over $1,300 per square foot.
The five-bedroom, six-and-a-half bathroom residence was sold for about $1,024 per square foot—a 22 percent decrease from its previous sale price. The transaction closed on Friday.
A trust managed by Anthony’s manager Charles Koppelman was listed as the seller. The property had been on the market since last year with an initial asking price of $11.4 million and was most recently listed at $9.9 million before selling.
Anamaria Velasquez of Nexxos Realty represented the seller in the deal. Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman represented the buyer, identified in public records as Shadi LLC, a Delaware company.
Anthony previously sold another South Florida property—a waterfront mansion in Coral Gables’ Cocoplum—for $22.4 million in 2020.
Marc Anthony is recognized as one of the top-selling salsa artists globally with more than 12 million albums sold and has received four Grammy Awards along with eight Latin Grammy Awards.
One Thousand Museum has attracted several notable buyers including soccer player David Beckham and designer Victoria Beckham, who are friends of Anthony and also own a waterfront home on North Bay Road.
The building was designed by late architect Zaha Hadid and features a distinctive exoskeleton design around its balconies. The development team included Louis Birdman, Gilberto Bomeny, Kevin Venger, Gregg Covin and Todd Michael Glaser; construction finished in 2019.
Earlier this year billionaire hedge fund manager Ken Griffin put his penthouse at One Thousand Museum up for sale at $23 million; it is now listed at $23.8 million after being purchased for $18 million in 2021.
