Jessica Baird-Wertman has been appointed chief executive officer of AdventHealth’s primary care network, effective November 2. She will continue to report to Scott Brady, MD, who serves as network president and CEO of primary, home, urgent and retail care for the Primary Health Division. In her new position, Baird-Wertman will oversee operations and development for the primary care network and implement business strategies aimed at improving its overall performance.
“Jessica has been a vital part of our primary care network’s growth and success,” said Dr. Brady. “Her passion for mission, business innovation, operational excellence and patient-centered care has strengthened our teams and advanced our brand promise to provide whole-person care. I’m confident that under her leadership, PCN will continue to thrive and expand its impact across our communities.”
Previously, Baird-Wertman was chief operating officer of the primary care network. Her work focused on increasing patient access, improving patient experience, ensuring financial sustainability and developing value-based care capabilities across 15 counties in Florida. She has also held other leadership roles within AdventHealth’s physician enterprise operations. Before joining AdventHealth, she worked at Atrium Health and Orlando Health.

Baird-Wertman earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in health services administration from St. Francis University.
AdventHealth Orlando is located in Orlando, Florida. The hospital was established in 1908 and serves as both a pediatric facility and training hospital; Terry Shaw is its current president.
