Jeff Franklin, the creator of the television show “Full House,” sold his two remaining waterfront lots on Miami Beach’s Venetian Islands for a combined $22.5 million, taking a loss on the properties, according to an April 3 report.

The sale marks the end of Franklin’s plan to build a large estate on a 1.2-acre assemblage he had acquired in two deals in 2021. The properties were located at 1230 and 1236 South Venetian Way.

Records show that Franklin purchased the home of El Dorado Furniture founders Manuel and Aida Capó for $35.5 million in June 2021, then bought an adjacent property from developer Dan Kodsi for $13 million in July of that year, bringing his total investment to $48.5 million. Listing agent Julian Johnston of Corcoran Group said Franklin intended to build a mansion with amenities such as a tennis court but was deterred by pandemic-related delays and changing circumstances.

After unsuccessful attempts to sell the entire assemblage as one parcel—at one point asking up to $65 million—Johnston advised splitting it into smaller lots more consistent with others in the area. The newly divided parcels at 1224 and 1228 South Venetian Way sold earlier: one for $8 million and another for $10.3 million, bringing total sales proceeds from all four sites to about $40.8 million.

Franklin’s mailing address is listed as 10066 Cielo Drive in Beverly Hills—a property known historically as the site of high-profile murders in 1969 before being rebuilt decades later into its current form. He listed this Beverly Hills mansion for sale at $85 million in 2022; it remains on the market today at an asking price of $50 million.
