As Thanksgiving approaches, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) extended holiday greetings to its members and highlighted the essential contributions of workers across various industries.

In a message addressed to the IAM Union family, International President Brian Bryant emphasized the importance of recognizing those who continue to work during the holiday. “From the farmworkers who harvest our food, to the workers who process, transport, and stock it… from the men and women who keep our buses, rail, and air travel moving, to those who will be on the job today and can’t take time off – this holiday is built on their hard work and sacrifice. We owe them our gratitude, and we owe it to them to keep fighting for a voice, dignity, and respect on the job,” Bryant stated.

Bryant also acknowledged union members’ ongoing efforts in supporting each other at workplaces and during labor actions. “Every day, across our great union, IAM members are proving what solidarity looks like. Whether you’re on the shop floor, on an assembly line, supporting a sibling on a picket line, or standing strong at the bargaining table, your determination is what keeps this union strong and moving forward,” he said.

He concluded by expressing appreciation for members’ dedication: “On behalf of the IAM Executive Council, thank you for everything you do. Your commitment to one another, to your families, and to the labor movement is what gives our union its strength. It’s what makes the IAM a force for fairness and a source of hope for working people everywhere.”

The message ended with well wishes for a safe Thanksgiving from Bryant.
