The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has announced an extension to the registration deadline for its upcoming Retirees Education and Strategy Program (RESP). The program will take place at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland, from September 21-26, 2025.

According to IAM, registrations for the RESP must now be received by Monday, August 18, 2025. The program is organized by the IAM Retirees and Membership Assistance Department and is designed to provide retired and nearly retired members with education and resources on issues that affect their daily lives.

The RESP curriculum covers several topics including organizing and maintaining retirees clubs, legislative and political strategies, Social Security and Medicare programs, developing a retiree club action plan, Alliance for Retired Americans activities, and recruiting retired member organizing volunteers.

“If you have any questions about this program, please contact the Retirees and Membership Assistance Department at 301-967-4717,” stated IAM in its announcement.
