IAM District 142 recently held its second annual charity golf tournament at Papago Golf Course in Phoenix. The event was organized to raise funds for Guide Dogs of America and Tender Loving Canines, a charity supported by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM).

The tournament is part of a competitive fundraising effort among various IAM districts. Money raised from the event, including proceeds from games and donated prizes, will go toward training and placing service dogs with visually impaired individuals, veterans living with PTSD, and autistic children. These services are provided at no cost to recipients.

Staff members from Guide Dogs of America attended the event with puppies in training. Attendees expressed enthusiasm for both the cause and the amount of money raised. More information about Guide Dogs of America and Tender Loving Canines can be found at https://www.guidedogsofamerica.org.
