Hyatt Regency Coconut Point plans major renovation for meeting spaces

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs has announced a multi-million-dollar renovation of its meeting and event spaces, set to begin in mid-July and expected to finish by early fall. The resort aims to update its facilities by integrating design elements inspired by the local coastal environment.

“We are incredibly excited to introduce these reimagined spaces later this year, designed to inspire and connect,” said Rhett Wilson, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa. “By capturing the essence of our serene natural setting, this project will enhance both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the spaces with nods to our surrounding environment, offering an ideal backdrop to drive meaningful meetings and elegant event experiences.”

The planned renovations include new carpeting, wall coverings, artwork reflecting the gulf-side location, updated lighting fixtures such as a mesh chandelier in the Estero Ballroom, and Preciosa lighting installations throughout other areas. The Calusa Ballroom Terrace will also receive upgrades with new pavers, lighting enhancements, integrated turf, and redesigned landscaping.

Additional updates involve improvements to the registration desk area with digital signage bordered by custom wood millwork. Meeting space restrooms will feature a refreshed color palette along with new vanities and modern fixtures.

This renovation follows recent changes at the resort: guestroom updates in 2022; a redesign of Tarpon Bay restaurant and water park improvements in 2023; and a revamped Tanglewood – A Southern Kitchen restaurant introduced in 2024.

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa offers over 82,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. Outdoor venues include Belvedere Terrace with fountains and waterfalls; Banyan Courtyard featuring live oak trees; Royal Palm Courtyard; and Cypress Courtyard. Indoor options consist of the Calusa Ballroom (14,000 square feet), Estero Ballroom (7,000 square feet), smaller rooms like Blue Heron and Great Egret with tropical views, as well as private dining at Tarpon Bay’s The Cove.

Groups staying at the resort have access to Big Hickory Island within Estero Bay Ecological Preserve for private events or recreation. Partnerships with Global Works Events allow guests opportunities for off-site activities such as fishing charters, kayak trips through mangroves, boat tours, or excursions into Downtown Naples.
