Jason Manueke, a former United States Marine Corps member, has transitioned from military service to a role in health care technology at AdventHealth Rocky Mountain Region. Manueke joined the Marines in 2016 seeking direction and purpose. He served until 2020, working at Camp H. M. Smith and Marine Corps Base Hawaii as well as overseas in South Korea and the Philippines.
During his service, Manueke held roles as a Cyber Network Operator and Data Systems Administrator. His responsibilities included managing secure networks, databases, and cybersecurity systems to support global operations. He highlighted his solo deployment to a U.S. compound in the Philippines as especially formative.
“That mission taught me confidence, independence, and the importance of technical reliability,” Jason shared. “Knowing that our systems kept communications secure and operations running smoothly gave me a strong sense of pride and purpose.”
Manueke noted both rewarding aspects—such as camaraderie—and challenges during his military tenure. He emphasized how quickly adapting to changing environments developed his focus and resilience.
“The Marine Corps taught me that genuine leadership is rooted in service – putting others first and helping them reach their full potential,” Jason reflected.
Now working within AdventHealth’s IT Department, Manueke says he continues to apply values learned during military service.
“My military experience taught me integrity, reliability, and composure under pressure,” he said. “Those same values guide how I support our caregivers every day. I want to make sure our teams have the resources and stability they need to deliver care with excellence and compassion.”
His transition highlights how skills acquired through military service can be used beyond active duty.
“This Veterans Day, we’re proud to honor Jason and all our AdventHealth team members who have served our country with courage, commitment, and compassion.”
