In recent South Florida real estate news, several firms have announced new leadership hires and team additions.
Fontainebleau Development has named Raj Mohan as vice president and managing director for its JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura. According to a press release, Mohan previously served as managing director of Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa for Pyramid Global Hospitality. Saddlebrook is a 485-acre property featuring two golf courses, 43 tennis courts, and a sports academy. Mohan has also held resort operations roles at hotels in Aruba, Jamaica, China, and Canada. In his new position, he will focus on enhancing guest experience and expanding business opportunities.
Linkvest Capital appointed Eddy Arriola, Nicolás Santos, and Juan David Perdomo to its board of directors. The Miami-based alternative investment firm is led by principal Camilo Niño. Arriola is CEO of Arriola & Co. and formerly founded Apollo Bank, which was sold to Seacoast National Bank in 2022. Santos is a founding partner of Ikalon in Bogotá, while Perdomo leads Vision Planning Group, another multi-family office based in Bogotá.
Compass expanded its presence by bringing on two teams in South Florida. Galleria International Realty of Fort Lauderdale joined Compass with 71 agents who will be based at the Las Olas Boulevard office. Founded in 2009 by Patricia Anglero, this team has closed over $2 billion in total sales since its inception.
The Andrade Group also joined Compass. This 29-agent team is led by Jorge Andrade and Henny Barreto and reports $50 million in annual sales volume. They will operate out of Compass’ Coconut Grove and Winter Park offices with a focus on the Miami-Dade, Broward, and Orange county markets.
Serhant hired Veronica Peters as an agent for its Delray Beach office. Peters comes from Premier Estate Properties where she was based in Boca Raton since 2021; she has completed more than $88 million in career sales according to her LinkedIn profile.
Weiss Law added Andy Gross as Of Counsel to the real estate law firm’s roster. Gross joins from Gross Simon PLLC where he worked on projects including W Fort Lauderdale and Infinity at Brickell in Miami.
