The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will convene for a Commission Conference on Thursday, September 4, 2025, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will take place at the Betty Easley Conference Center in Tallahassee, followed by an Internal Affairs session and the annual 10-Year Site Plan workshop.
The agenda for the Commission Conference includes items open for public comment. Those interested in participating are encouraged to contact the PSC’s Office of General Counsel at 850-413-6199.
After the internal meeting, the PSC will conduct its yearly review of Florida’s electric utilities’ 10-year site plans. These documents describe planned system upgrades and modifications intended to ensure reliable service over the next ten years. Presentations during the workshop will be given by representatives from the Electric Power Research Institute and the Florida Reliability Coordinating Council, Inc., who will discuss long-term planning and reliability issues.
According to state law, the PSC must evaluate these site plans every year to determine if they are “suitable” or “unsuitable.” The commission then provides its findings to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, which uses them in decisions regarding power plant and transmission line siting certification.
A live broadcast of both the conference and workshop will be available online (click “Watch Live and Archived PSC Events”), with additional coverage possibly offered by The Florida Channel depending on local listings.
