The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) has scheduled a virtual customer meeting for Grenelefe Resort Utility, Inc. customers on Monday, September 15 at 2:00 p.m. The meeting will allow customers to provide feedback on Grenelefe’s proposed increase in water and wastewater rates in Polk County.

Grenelefe submitted its application for the rate increase in January 2025. The FPSC stated that customer comments during the meeting will be considered as part of the decision-making process regarding the request.

Customers who wish to speak at the meeting can register online by completing a form available under Hot Topics on the FPSC home page and clicking on the Sign-up to Speak link. Registration is also possible by calling 1-850-413-7080 or emailing the FPSC. Online registration opens Wednesday, September 1 at 9:00 a.m. EDT and closes Thursday, September 11 at noon.

Grenelefe currently provides water service to 1,608 residential customers and wastewater service to 1,357 residential customers in Polk County.

Those unable to participate directly can watch a live stream of the meeting by clicking “Watch Live and Archived PSC Events”.

“The virtual customer meeting provides customers an opportunity to comment on Grenelefe’s request and quality of service. Customer input will be considered when the Commission makes its decision.”
