Film Florida partners with WIFT-FL South Florida for MAD Arts networking event

Film Florida, in collaboration with WIFT-FL South Florida and Film Lauderdale, will host an after-hours event at MAD Arts in Fort Lauderdale. The event is scheduled for August 19, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and will include a private tour of the museum, an information session, and networking opportunities.

MAD Arts serves as a museum and community hub focused on art and technology. It features interactive experiences, outdoor sculptures, experimental labs, artist prototypes, research projects, and large-scale projections. The venue provides visitors with insight into the ongoing development of art and technology.

The evening will feature a presentation by Broward County Film Commissioner and Film Florida president Sandy Lighterman. Attendees can expect drinks and light refreshments during the networking portion of the event.

According to organizers: “All filmmakers and creators are welcome and encouraged to attend!”

WIFT members may attend free of charge while guests are required to pay a $10 fee. The meeting location is MAD Arts at 481 S Federal Hwy in Dania Beach.
