Film Florida has announced that it will offer packages for its members to attend the Cannes Marché du Film and the Cannes Film Festival, scheduled for May 12–23, 2026. This initiative is organized in partnership with Film USA, providing members access to one of the most established film industry events globally.
The Cannes Marché du Film operates alongside the Cannes Film Festival and serves as a significant business event for the international film sector. It brings together thousands of professionals—including producers, distributors, sales agents, and buyers—from various countries. The International Village at the market acts as a central networking point, featuring pavilions representing global cinema and services.
Registration for Film Florida’s “General Member Package” is $1,000 for members and $1,200 for non-members. The package includes a badge for entry to the Marché du Film, full access to the Film USA Pavilion, a Cinando account per badge holder, invitations to all panel discussions and receptions at the pavilion (including a proposed “Florida Day”), an invitation to a “How to do Cannes” webinar from Film USA covering logistics like travel and accommodations, as well as recommendations for lodging and transportation in Cannes.
Film Florida highlighted several reasons why filmmakers might consider attending. These include opportunities for networking with key industry professionals; meeting distributors who could help secure distribution deals; pitching projects directly to potential investors or co-production partners; gaining exposure by showcasing works-in-progress; learning about current trends through panels and workshops; connecting with other filmmakers; and increasing visibility within the international market.
For those interested in sponsorship opportunities such as supporting “Florida Day” at the pavilion or seeking more information on registration packages or membership options, inquiries can be directed to info@filmflorida.org.
Film Florida regularly provides professional development opportunities and promotes member participation in festivals across Florida. The organization also offers grants and scholarships to support industry professionals and students. It emphasizes that traveling outside of Florida is important for promoting the state’s creative industries on a global scale.
Film USA is described as a nonprofit association that represents US film commissions with a mission focused on maximizing economic benefits from filmmaking activities in the United States by improving connections among stakeholders.
