In October 2025, Colorado Joint Replacement at AdventHealth Porter hosted the John N. Insall Traveling Fellowship, an international initiative that brings together knee surgeons from around the world to collaborate and share expertise in joint care. The fellowship is named in honor of Dr. John Insall, known for his contributions to knee reconstruction, but its scope extends beyond professional development by aiming to improve patient outcomes.
The annual program selects fellows from both national and international institutions who travel across North America to engage with peers at leading centers specializing in total joint replacement. While visiting Colorado Joint Replacement (CJR), participants observed advanced surgical procedures, took part in academic discussions, and worked alongside CJR’s orthopedic team.
Dr. Jason Jennings, an orthopedic surgeon at CJR, said, “At CJR, we see this fellowship as more than an academic program—it’s an investment in patient care. The knowledge exchanged here translates directly into safer surgeries, quicker recoveries, and stronger outcomes for the patients we serve.”
Colorado Joint Replacement is recognized for its high standards in total joint replacement and its commitment to advancing orthopedic medicine. By hosting the Insall Traveling Fellowship, CJR not only enhances its reputation but also helps introduce new surgical techniques and patient-focused practices that can benefit communities globally.
AdventHealth Orlando is located in Orlando, Florida and was founded in 1908. It serves as a training hospital with a pediatric ward under the leadership of President Terry Shaw.
