A new food hall is set to open in the former Time Out Market space in Miami Beach. City Food Hall has leased the 20,900-square-foot venue at 1601 Drexel Avenue, near Lincoln Road, and plans to open next summer. Irma Figueroa of Comras Company represented City Food Hall in the deal, while Dillon Maya of Avenue acted for the landlord.
City Food Hall, based in Miami and led by Peter Rounce, operates several locations across Florida and is planning an expansion into Athens, Georgia. Camila Dulcetti of Nova Design will handle the interior design for the South Beach location. The previous tenant, Time Out Market, closed its South Beach branch in 2023 after opening in 2019 and being shuttered during the pandemic lockdown. The building is owned by Paul Cejas through an affiliate.
In another lease announcement, Blu Hospitality Group will open its first South Florida restaurant at River Landing Shops & Residences. The group has signed a lease for 6,500 square feet for Blu modern American restaurant, which will feature a terrace bar with skyline views and event spaces. River Landing was completed by Urban-X Group in 2020 and includes apartments, retail space, offices, and a dedicated restaurant row.
Google has opened a retail and tech support store at Aventura Mall. This marks Google’s eighth U.S. store and third on the Eastern Seaboard. The store occupies 3,030 square feet at 19501 Biscayne Boulevard and features a “Here to Help” desk for customer assistance. Aventura Mall is co-owned by Turnberry Associates and Simon Property Group.
Ludlow Coffee Supply will launch its second Brickell location at Domus Brickell Park condo-hotel project at 1611 Southwest Second Avenue in Miami. The coffee shop has leased 7,500 square feet including patio space within the under-construction development by North Development—a joint venture between Oak Capital’s Ricardo Dunin and Edifica of Peru.
Spanish nightlife technology company Fourvenues has opened its U.S. headquarters in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood as part of its expansion into the American market. Led by CEO Alberto Centeno, Fourvenues provides software tools for nightclubs and events businesses worldwide.
Good Greek Moving & Storage will establish an outpost at Bridge Point Port Everglades after leasing over 61,000 square feet at the Dania Beach industrial facility developed by Bridge Industrial last year.
Gibson Garage plans to open a combination store and music venue at Wynwood Garage in Miami this spring. The venue will showcase Gibson guitars along with apparel displays and live performances aimed at Latin American artists.
Silk—a Japanese-Italian steakhouse owned by Pietro Polini—has opened in Miami Beach’s former Chotto Matte space with seating for over 140 guests indoors plus a bar area.
Furniture brand Maiden Home from New York launched its flagship location in Miami Design District with a new lease on Northeast Second Avenue.
