Brandon Nudd has been appointed as the new president and chief executive officer of AdventHealth Waterman, effective October 6. The announcement was made by AdventHealth, where Nudd has worked for over twenty years.

Nudd most recently led AdventHealth Hendersonville and AdventHealth Polk in North Carolina as president and CEO. In that position, he managed more than 1,800 employees across two hospitals and contributed to the expansion of services, facility upgrades, and community partnerships aimed at improving access to care in Western North Carolina.

“Hospitals are more than buildings. They are part of the community’s fabric,” said Lorenzo Brown, CEO for AdventHealth’s Lakes Region. “Brandon understands that health care is about creating places people can rely on — not just in moments of crisis, but throughout their lives.”

Nudd began his career with AdventHealth in Florida as a human resources resident. He later held various operational and leadership roles including CEO of AdventHealth Castle Rock in Colorado and chief operating officer positions at AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray in Georgia.

AdventHealth Waterman has served Lake County since 1938 as a 310-bed acute-care hospital offering emergency services, critical care, heart and lung programs, cancer treatment, women’s and children’s services, and advanced diagnostic imaging. The hospital is currently expanding with a new medical office building and a freestanding emergency department planned to open in Fruitland Park by 2026.

“I’m honored to return to Florida,” Nudd said. “This hospital has been a trusted part of Lake County for generations. I see this as an opportunity to build on that foundation to make care even more accessible, more personal, and more connected to the lives of the people who count on us every day.”

Nudd earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Adventist University and an MBA from Kennesaw State University. He is board certified by the American College of Healthcare Executives and participated in the first class of AdventHealth’s Executive Leadership Program.

AdventHealth operates several hospitals across Florida including AdventHealth Orlando, which was established in 1908. The Orlando facility serves as a training hospital with pediatric wards under current president Terry Shaw.
