AdventHealth has announced the addition of Beth Mitchell, PA-C, to its Southeastern Orthopedics and Spine at Haywood location. Mitchell brings seven years of orthopedic experience and three years in family and emergency medicine to the Western North Carolina region.

Mitchell’s background includes treating both sudden injuries and chronic joint conditions. She is a former NCAA Division I athlete with personal experience in sports-related injuries, which she uses to help patients remain active.

She explained her decision to join AdventHealth by saying, “From my first interactions, I felt a genuine warmth. The faith-based mission is lived out every day, and I’m grateful to be part of a team that cares so deeply for the whole person.”

Mitchell will support AdventHealth’s efforts to improve access to orthopedic care in Haywood County and nearby areas. Her experience includes working in high-volume orthopedic urgent care clinics and developing care protocols.

“My passion is helping people get answers and relief when they need it most,” Mitchell said. “Offering more immediate orthopedic care here in Clyde means our neighbors won’t have to travel far or wait long when they’re hurting.”

Her patient care approach focuses on listening and supporting patients as they understand diagnoses and treatment options. She treats acute and chronic orthopedic issues using techniques such as casting, splinting, corticosteroid injections, and X-ray interpretation. Her athletic background helps her guide patients through exercises tailored to their needs.

Outside of work, Mitchell enjoys exploring Western North Carolina with her family. She played Division I basketball at the University at Buffalo and was inducted into her high school’s athletic hall of fame for basketball, tennis, and track and field.

AdventHealth stated that Mitchell’s addition strengthens its orthopedic services for families throughout the region.
