Amelia Island has been named one of the Top 10 Islands in the United States by Condé Nast Traveler, ranking ninth in the 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards. It is the only Florida island to appear on this year’s list, continuing a pattern of recognition that has lasted more than 15 years.

The Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa and The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island were also recognized among the Best Resorts in Florida, ranking fourth and ninth respectively. These rankings highlight the island’s reputation for high-quality hospitality.

“Longevity on this list speaks volumes,” said Gil Langley, President of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau. “In an era when travel tastes shift quickly, Amelia Island continues to inspire loyalty from discerning travelers year after year. What keeps us here isn’t hype; it’s the combination of natural beauty, a walkable historic downtown, and the genuine welcome guests feel from our community. Visitors don’t just discover Amelia; they return, often for generations.”

According to Condé Nast Traveler, over 575,000 readers participated in this year’s survey. The full results are available at CNTraveler.com and will be published in the magazine’s November issue.

Amelia Island is located in Northeast Florida and is known for its beaches, wildlife, resorts with spas and golf courses, as well as its historic districts such as Fernandina Beach.
