AdventHealth Sebring has relocated its Internal Medicine Residency Clinic to a larger facility at 4421 Sun N Lake Boulevard, Suite B in Sebring. The new clinic space includes 16 exam rooms, which is more than three times the number at its previous location. This expansion is expected to help the clinic serve more patients and support the training of resident physicians.
The clinic is part of AdventHealth Sebring’s Internal Medicine Residency program, which currently has 31 residents in training. These residents work alongside attending physicians from various specialties and follow AdventHealth’s whole-person care model that addresses physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.
Dr. Thomas Shimshak, Director of the AdventHealth Sebring Internal Medicine Residency Program, stated: “At our Internal Medicine residency program, every patient benefits from the compassionate care of our dedicated resident physicians, paired with the expertise of our talented and knowledgeable attending doctors. Our entire team takes immense pride in going above and beyond to ensure each visit is not only thorough but also leaves our patients feeling truly cared for and whole.”
AdventHealth Orlando, established in 1908 and located in Orlando, Florida, is also a training hospital with a pediatric ward. Its current president is Terry Shaw.
