The AdventHealth Redmond Foundation has announced a merger between its Parkinson’s Fund and the Charlie Williams Parkinson’s Foundation. The combined fund will be known as the AdventHealth Redmond Foundation Charlie Williams Parkinson’s Fund.
Jake Hager, director of the AdventHealth Redmond Foundation, said, “This is more than a name change — it’s a meaningful step forward in our shared mission to provide compassionate, whole-person care. Together, we will amplify our local impact, expand access to leading-edge care and support services, and ensure that Parkinson’s patients across our region are met with the excellence and compassion they deserve.”
The foundation stated that this merger aims to enhance patient care in Northwest Georgia by expanding access to services and investing in programs for those affected by Parkinson’s disease. The unified fund will continue supporting specialized therapies, caregiver resources, and community education initiatives.
The first fundraising event for the newly named fund will be the Greg Fricks Memorial Golf Tournament on September 15, 2025, at Coosa Country Club. Proceeds from this event will benefit programs for people living with Parkinson’s disease.
