Sarah Myers has been named the Regional Chief Information Officer for AdventHealth Mid-America Region, a position she began in November 2025. In her new role, Myers will lead the region’s technology strategy, innovation, and service delivery.

Previously, Myers served as IT Director for AdventHealth Mid-America Region. She was responsible for technology strategies supporting key projects such as the AdventHealth Cancer Institute and AdventHealth Lenexa City Center. Myers joined AdventHealth in 2020 as an analyst, where she led COVID clinic registration design and developed custom vaccine reporting solutions. She also managed teams during the organization’s transition to the Epic electronic medical record platform.

“In Albanian, the word Besa means a ‘pledge of honor,’ ‘solemn faith,’ or ‘to keep the promise.’ That deeply resonates with me,” said Myers. “I feel a profound sense of responsibility to the people I work with; I want to show up for them and keep my promise to make things better.”

Reflecting on her experience at AdventHealth, Myers stated: “I’ve had the true privilege of working with an incredible group of people from every part of AdventHealth Mid-America Region — EVS, nursing, supply chain, facilities and AIT. I’m excited to continue this journey: working hard, listening, understanding, and extending the healing ministry of Christ through technology.”

Bill Heinrich, chief finance officer for AdventHealth Mid-America Region, commented on her appointment: “Sarah is a trusted, visionary leader who brings both deep technical expertise and a genuine heart for our mission. She has an exceptional ability to translate innovation into meaningful impact for our patients, clinicians and communities. We are grateful for her continued leadership and confident that, as CIO, she will help shape the future of care across our region through technology that truly serves people.”

Myers holds an MBA in healthcare administration and a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Central Missouri. She is also a board member for Johnson County Community College’s Computer Support Specialist Program.

AdventHealth operates nationally with more than 100,000 team members providing care at over 2,000 sites including hospitals and clinics. The Kansas City network includes several facilities such as AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Merriam and AdventHealth Lenexa City Center.

AdventHealth Orlando is located in Orlando, Florida. It was founded in 1908 and currently led by President Terry Shaw. The hospital features a pediatric ward and functions as a training hospital.
