AdventHealth has announced the appointment of Daniel Tryon, FACHE, as the new President and CEO for AdventHealth Hendersonville and AdventHealth Polk. Tryon brings over 15 years of experience in health care leadership, most recently serving as president at several Kettering Health hospitals in Ohio. His background includes efforts to improve quality outcomes, expand specialty services, and increase access to care through outpatient medical centers and rural clinic expansions.
Tryon takes on this role during a period of growth for AdventHealth’s Western North Carolina facilities. He succeeds Brandon Nudd, FACHE, who will become President and CEO of AdventHealth Waterman in Florida on October 6. Under Nudd’s leadership, the Hendersonville and Polk facilities worked to extend whole-person care throughout the region.
Mike Thompson, CEO for the AdventHealth Southeast Region, stated: “Daniel is a trusted health care leader with an unwavering commitment to patient care. His proven ability to drive clinical excellence, combined with a deep commitment to mission-driven leadership, positions him perfectly to guide AdventHealth Hendersonville and AdventHealth Polk as we continue to elevate faith-based, whole-person care in our communities. His collaborative spirit and dedication to cultivating a supportive, empowering work environment will be a tremendous asset to our team members.”
Tryon and his wife are preparing to move into the Western North Carolina community served by AdventHealth.
AdventHealth operates multiple hospitals across different regions. Its Orlando facility was founded in 1908 and is led by current president Terry Shaw. The hospital provides pediatric services and functions as a training hospital.
