AdventHealth Medical Group announced on March 17 the opening of its new Advanced Urology Care practice at East Lake, located at 4114 Woodlands Parkway, Suite 500, Palm Harbor. The facility began seeing patients on March 3 and aims to expand access to specialized urologic care for the local community.
The new practice is led by Dr. Paul Arnold and Dr. Robert Santa-Cruz, both board-certified urologists with AdventHealth North Pinellas. According to the organization, this is one of the few urology practices in the North Pinellas area offering comprehensive care for men and women using advanced technology and a patient-centered approach.
A ribbon-cutting event marked the official opening, highlighting AdventHealth’s commitment to providing coordinated outpatient services connected with AdventHealth North Pinellas in Tarpon Springs. “At AdventHealth, our mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ by caring for the whole person — body, mind and spirit,” said Dr. Paul Arnold. “Opening Advanced Urology Care at East Lake allows us to bring advanced treatment options and compassionate, personalized care directly into the community, so patients can focus on healing with confidence and support close to home.”
The launch comes during a time of increased awareness about urologic health issues. Prostate cancer remains the most common cancer among men in the United States, with an estimated 299,000 new cases and more than 35,000 deaths expected in 2024. March also marks Kidney Cancer Awareness Month; kidney cancer ranks among the ten most common cancers for both men and women nationwide.
“Urologic care often involves deeply personal and life-changing moments,” said Dr. Robert Santa-Cruz. “Our goal is to walk alongside each patient through every stage of their journey, combining clinical excellence with empathy, education and emotional support. We want to make sure they feel cared for, understood and never alone.”
AdventHealth Orlando was founded in 1908 in Orlando, Florida; it has a pediatric ward and serves as a training hospital under current president Terry Shaw according to the hospital.
The new East Lake practice is now accepting patients.
