Tess Lipps and his wife, Barb Lipps, received emergency medical care at AdventHealth Manchester after Tess experienced an unexpected health issue, according to an April 1 statement from the hospital. The couple had anticipated a different week but instead found themselves seeking urgent help when Tess needed immediate attention for what was first thought to be a digestive problem.

Further examination revealed that Tess had an irregular heart rhythm, which required additional scans and procedures. Hospital staff coordinated efforts across several departments to ensure timely treatment, allowing Tess to return home feeling better and supported by the team.

Barb Lipps expressed gratitude for the comprehensive care they received during their time at AdventHealth Manchester. She said every person they encountered “treated them with the same compassion and care you would offer a family member.” This included staff from the Emergency Room, Radiology and Lab services, nursing staff, aides, physicians, nurse practitioners, dietary team members, environmental services personnel, and the surgical team.

The Lipps family is recognized in their community as pastors at a local church and former owners of The Axis restaurant. Their experience highlights how AdventHealth Manchester focuses on providing compassionate care that extends beyond medical treatment.

Stories like this are part of a broader tradition within AdventHealth hospitals. For example, according to Wikipedia, AdventHealth Orlando was founded in 1908 in Orlando, Florida. It serves as both a pediatric ward provider and training hospital under its current president Terry Shaw.

The hospital said it remains committed to supporting patients not only through medicine but also through compassion and dignity.
