The AdventHealth Manchester Foundation held its annual Lighting the Way Foundation Banquet on October 16 at the EKU Manchester Campus. The event aimed to gather community support and raise funds for the hospital’s Modernization Project, which seeks to improve patient rooms for a more comfortable and healing environment.
Attendees participated in an evening that included live music from Paisley Grace, dinner catered by Local Honey, desserts from Jennifer Begley, and a silent auction with various items and experiences available.
Through contributions from sponsors and donors, the banquet raised over $14,000. These funds will be used for new equipment, upgraded bathrooms, and modern furnishings as part of the Modernization Project. Organizers stated these improvements are intended to enhance patient care and reflect their mission.
“These funds will directly enhance patient care by providing new equipment, upgraded bathrooms, and modern furnishings—ensuring our patients experience whole-person care in a space that reflects our mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ,” according to the event organizers.
