AdventHealth is organizing a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on October 6 in Asheville, North Carolina. The event, called “Propelled by Pink,” aims to bring the community together to remember those lost to breast cancer, support those currently fighting the disease, and promote hope for the future.
The walk will take place along the CREATION Life Path starting at 1151 Naples Road, across from the hospital campus. Activities will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a segment titled “A Time of Hope and Remembrance,” followed by a one-mile community walk at 6 p.m. Attendees are invited to participate by walking, cheering, or showing support in solidarity.
Physicians, nurses, and members of the AdventHealth Cancer Services team will be present to speak and connect with participants. Refreshments and breast cancer awareness giveaways will be provided. The public is encouraged to attend with family and friends.
AdventHealth staff throughout Western North Carolina locations will also hold a Pink-Out Day as part of the initiative. Team members will wear pink to encourage discussions about breast cancer awareness and emphasize the importance of regular mammograms.
