AdventHealth hospitals in Hendersonville, North Carolina, have announced that they will remain open and fully operational during the ongoing winter storm affecting the region. The hospital’s Emergency Department, The Baby Place, and all inpatient care services are prepared to serve patients who require medical attention.

According to AdventHealth, several measures have been put in place to ensure continuous care despite hazardous road conditions. These include activating Incident Command protocols, modifying staffing plans, and providing on-site accommodations for staff so they can safely stay at or travel to the hospital. “The safety and well-being of our community is our top priority. We have taken extensive steps to ensure continuity of care, including activating Incident Command, adjusting staffing plans and providing on-site accommodations so team members can safely remain at or travel to the hospital. These proactive measures allow our physicians, nurses and care teams to be present and ready, even as road conditions remain challenging,” the statement said.

While core hospital services are unaffected by the weather event, some outpatient locations will be closed on Monday. This includes AdventHealth Medical Group offices—with the exception of AdventHealth Medical Multispecialty at Graham County—and AdventHealth Centra Care Arden on Airport Road.

To help meet community health needs during this period, AdventHealth is offering free virtual visits for all residents. These appointments can be accessed through their website or app using a provided code word: community. “We know winter storms can create uncertainty and concern, especially for those with urgent or ongoing health needs. Please be assured that our teams are here, our facilities are safe and our doors are open. We encourage everyone to prioritize safety, avoid unnecessary travel and seek care when needed,” AdventHealth stated.

AdventHealth encourages people seeking updates about available services or resources to visit their official website or communication channels.

AdventHealth Orlando—founded in 1908—is located in Orlando, Florida. It operates as a training hospital with a pediatric ward and is currently led by President Terry Shaw.
