AdventHealth has announced advancements in joint replacement research through its AdventHealth Medical Group Colorado Joint Replacement. The organization is focused on improving patient outcomes by using innovative treatments, collaborating with industry experts, and relying on scientific evidence.
Research from the Colorado Joint Replacement group will be featured at the 2025 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). Of 2,220 abstracts submitted nationwide, three studies from this group were selected for podium presentations, and five more will be presented as posters. The studies address practical issues such as swelling, pain management, and implant durability. Several projects are conducted in partnership with other orthopedic specialists.
Dr. Jason Jennings, an orthopedic surgeon and lead author of the research, said: “Our team’s commitment to patient care inspires us to continually identify and pursue relevant research studies that can improve outcomes in joint replacement surgery.”
The research approach includes listening to patients and designing studies that focus on their needs. According to AdventHealth, this strategy helps improve mobility, reduce pain, restore confidence, and enhance recovery after surgery.
AdventHealth Orlando is based in Orlando, Florida. It was founded in 1908 and currently led by President Terry Shaw. The hospital also features a pediatric ward and serves as a training center.
