AdventHealth Hendersonville is organizing a community blood drive in partnership with The Blood Connection to address the increasing need for blood donations in the region. The event, titled “Fall Into Giving,” will take place on Thursday, October 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 100 Hospital Drive in Hendersonville. The Blood Connection Mobile Donor Unit will be stationed near the valet parking area.

Organizers emphasize the impact of each donation, stating that one donation can save up to three lives and highlighting the rising demand for blood. They encourage both new and returning donors to participate.

Donors who give blood at this event will receive $40 in TBC rewards. To schedule an appointment, individuals are directed to visit thebloodconnection.org and use Sponsor Code 23AC.

The Blood Connection operates as a non-profit organization. Eligibility requirements include being at least 16 years old (with written consent required for those aged 16), weighing more than 110 pounds, and presenting either a TBC Donor ID Card or photo ID at the time of donation. Organizers advise potential donors to stay hydrated and eat before donating. Incentives such as gift cards are non-transferable.

AdventHealth Orlando, located in Orlando, Florida, was established in 1908 and currently led by president Terry Shaw, serves as a pediatric and training hospital.

“Every donation can save up to three lives. Demand for blood donations is on the rise. That makes your gift more important than ever. Whether you’re a first-time donor or a regular supporter, your contribution helps ensure that patients in our community receive the care they need,” AdventHealth Hendersonville stated.

For more information about eligibility or appointments, interested participants should refer to The Blood Connection’s website.
