AdventHealth has named Marcy Cent as the new director of oncology services for its Georgia Market. In her new position, Cent will oversee the development and expansion of cancer care programs across the region, aiming to ensure that patients have access to quality treatment close to home.
Cent has played a key role in the construction of the AdventHealth Cancer Pavilion in Rome and has contributed to strategies designed to broaden care options in Gordon and Murray Counties. These initiatives are intended to provide more families with faith-based, comprehensive health services.
With over two decades of experience in healthcare consulting, Cent has spent more than 12 years focused on building and improving oncology programs. She is recognized for offering strategic guidance and advisory support to physicians and hospital systems, assisting them in reaching business objectives while promoting growth and innovation throughout organizations.
Cent’s previous leadership roles include tenures at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Piedmont Healthcare. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Fairfield University and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
Originally from New York, Cent has lived in Georgia for three decades with her family. Her approach is described as closely aligned with AdventHealth’s mission “to extend the healing ministry of Christ and deliver compassionate, whole-person care to every patient.”
