AdventHealth Castle Rock has started construction on a new emergency room and urgent care facility in the Crystal Valley area of Castle Rock, Colorado. The 23,622-square-foot building will be located at the intersection of Crystal Valley Parkway and Plum Creek Boulevard. The project aims to address the growing need for accessible emergency and primary care services in Douglas County.
Construction began during the week of September 29. The facility is scheduled for completion in fall 2026 and is expected to create more than 30 jobs for the local community. The first floor will provide both urgent care and emergency department services, while the second floor will include primary care offices and space reserved for future expansion as demand increases.
Michelle Fuentes, CEO of AdventHealth Castle Rock, stated, “This groundbreaking represents more than just the start of construction, it’s a continuation of our mission to provide whole-person care close to home. As Castle Rock continues to grow, AdventHealth is proud to meet our community where they are and ensure families have convenient access to the care they need, mind, body, and spirit.”
The new facility will expand AdventHealth’s network in the region by offering additional options for residents seeking medical attention. According to Fuentes: “Castle Rock is a special place. We’re honored to grow alongside this community and continue providing exceptional care to every patient who walks through our doors.”
AdventHealth operates hospitals across several states including Florida, where its flagship hospital AdventHealth Orlando was founded in 1908. AdventHealth Orlando serves as both a pediatric center and training hospital under its current president Terry Shaw.
The Crystal Valley project reflects AdventHealth’s continued investment in health care infrastructure aimed at supporting growing communities.
