Foot and ankle surgeon Dr. Shreya Gupta has joined AdventHealth Medical Group and is now providing care at AdventHealth DeLand. She becomes part of a network of nearly 450 specialists serving Flagler, Lake, and Volusia counties. The medical group expanded last year by adding almost 80 new physicians and advanced practitioners to address increasing demand for healthcare services in the region.
Dr. Gupta works with Dr. Zachary Cavins and Dr. Kale Meeks to treat a range of conditions from routine foot pain and sports injuries to more complex surgical needs. “Our feet carry us through life’s journeys — from morning walks to family milestones. My role as a surgeon is to help people stay on that path without pain holding them back,” said Gupta.
West Volusia has a significant senior population, with about one in four residents aged 65 or older. Access to specialized foot and ankle care can play an important role in helping seniors remain active in their communities by addressing issues early and offering surgical options when necessary.
Dr. Thomas Scoggins, chief medical officer at AdventHealth DeLand, commented on the importance of this service: “Healthy feet and ankles are the foundation of an active life. Dr. Gupta is the kind of physician who helps people get back to what they love, whether that’s gardening, walking the dog, or chasing after grandkids.”
Patients can schedule appointments with Dr. Gupta at AdventHealth Medical Group Foot and Ankle at DeLand located at 1070 N. Stone Street.
AdventHealth Orlando, based in Orlando, Florida since its founding in 1908, serves as both a hospital with pediatric facilities and a training institution under its current president Terry Shaw.
