I need to write a business paper about the 4 P's of marketing of the smart car. How do I start it?

  1. By defining what the P's stand for to begin with. If you know one of the words a search can be done using Yahoo or Google.
  2. i would start with one of the p's, for example ... product and talk about why it is different than any other car. Its cheaper has cheaper insurance etc then talk about price how muc it is and who this price appeals to place, where the car will be sold and how these places fit in with the overall image of the car promotion, how they have been promoting this car and what type of image do you think it has :D hope you get an A ;p
  3. I would do some initial research about the product itself. Then move on to the pricing, how they promoted it (what you have seen), and then the placement in the market (where is it most seen, what are is it sold in). What are the companies and dealerships doing to promote this vehicle, ask yourself the common questions about the product. How would a marketer answer these questions? Look into what the advertisements are telling you...who are they targeting...
  4. Start with a lot of research on the product. If you do not understand the product and the benefits, then you will be at a strong disadvantage in the marketing. Another good thing to consider is the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis of the product. This will give another dimension to consideration of each of the areas. Product Price Place (Distribution) Promotion Place a strong emphasis on the benefits and stay away from features of the car. People buy benefits, not features. Always stay positive and don't criticize competition. Good luck!
